Was OK, iced coffee was pretty good. As a Coeliac was disappointed though. Loads of items on the menu have GF next to them. I ordered hot chips (can be hard to find GF * and * cooked in a separate fryer). Staff then said that if I'm Coeliac there's really only one item on the menu I could safely eat 🙁 Menu needs adjusting - remove the GF & replace with may contain, or low gluten, instead.
Little ‘old / new’ Gem On Thursday night we thought we would try the ‘new’ spot where Spinifex used to be on West Coast Drive. We were very happy with our decision to visit Salt & Oak. The newly decorated restaurant is warm and inviting. We did sit inside - it was a cold rainy night. Verve sold by the glass - made me happy. Hubby says beer menu good - a big compliment from him and the wine menu has something for everyone’s taste. We started with Salt & Oak Salt ‘n Pepper squid and Borrello Haloumi. Both were delicious- the squid looked pale (IMO) but was tender and tasty and is my new favourite. For mains we shared the Korean Spiced Pork Belly and a bowl of veggies. (And a bottle of Moss Wood Amy’s Blend) Really good service- even being the only people in the restaurant - not once did we feel rushed. Something on the menu for every diet requirement and they open for breakfast / lunch / dinner. We will definitely go back.
We dropped in to Salt & Oak recently for dinner. Great place and tasty innovative food with very attentive service. Well worth it. Next time we will try for lunch and take in the view We decided to score using the new Patron App. Food 7.8/10, Service 7.8/10, Value 8.4/10, Ambience 6.9/10, Cleanliness 8.2/10, Beverages 7.9/10. Overall score: 7.8/10.
Fabulous dinning experience, French inspired food from a talented French chef, she is a marvel with good ingredients. Service lovely and setting close to the beach with parking available. Prices were reasonable and the wine was delicious, its a part of the Running with Thieves portfolio. So good. 4 of us went for dinner which we all agreed exceeded our expectations. So great to have this place finally come of age. We'll be back 😋👌
Our first visit to this newly revamped eatery, We had a enjoyable meal which was well prepared and well presented, our waiter Alex was courteous and attentive , and the overall atmosphere was great for our wedding anniversary, with pleasant background music on a wet and cool Monday evening. The menu changes every few months so you can revisit to experience something new. Our pleasant experience will encourage us to eat there again.
