amazing authentic malaysian food!! the penang fried kuey teow seafood was soo good, got that smoky wok hei flavor and cook to perfection. love the vibes here, the classic trishaw by the window is so cute haha. staff also very friendly. will def come back again
The char kway teow and teh tarik feel like home! So does the fried fish soup albeit the soup taste like melted mac n cheese. Nevertheless we enjoyed our lunch there. Food was served via the food robot. The place plays classic oldies. Loves seeing people from different backgrounds coming and enjoy Asian food.
10/10. Went here with a family of 8 for walk in dinner on a weekday night and they were able to accommodate. The prices put us off in the first place but with the quality and quantity of food served, I’d say it is priced really well. We ordered nasi lemak, laksa, fried bee hoon, penang char kuey teow, carrot cake, chicken rice, chendol, teh tarik and ice kacang. Everything was really, really amazing. We were seriously mind blown at how it all of it was soo full of flavour. I would even dare say some of our local places wouldn’t reach this kind of flavour and standard. Definitely would recommend and come back here again.
i must have come here for dinner on 5 occasions by now. first i got seafood curry laksa which was very tasty although i felt there was not as much yellow mee as bee hoon. the roti and curry is very nice as well. more recently i got a char kway teow lunch set which comes with a hot drink. the menu said it would be +$1 to make the drink cold but the woman at the counter said +$2. please update your menu or don’t deceive your customers. but i got myself milo ice anyway because it was hot and it’s really nice. the ckt comes with way too much bean sprouts compared to noodles (it looks opposite in picture but there was so much more underneath) but it tastes nice and has pleasant wok hei. curiously the prawns in here had no tail (on a plate where cutting and setting them aside is possible) but the ones in the laksa did (in a soup bowl where cutting is NOT possible and there is nowhere to cleanly set them away) then i had chicken rice which was tasty and the chili was a good hit of spice while giving a secondary flavor and not being overpowering. i got the set with a hot drink, chose lemon tea and it was nice and warm too but very full glass so be careful when drinking. and their roti is elite tier as well, definitely go try it. but that was the first time i actually saw that students get 10% off which is a bit sad because i have never seen this any other time before qualms aside i enjoyed the food here so far and will likely come back again.
Legit Malaysian food in Perth! Authentic flavours, generous portions, and everything we ordered hit the spot~ especially the roti canai really gives you that mamak taste! Will definitely be back
