What an amazing experience. One chef! Exceptional food! Brilliant service! A must for anyone who appreciates fine dining!
The food quality and presentation were excellent, but the service was unfortunately lacking. Throughout our 7-course dinner, I found myself constantly passing dishes and collecting plates for my companion because our waitress didn't serve her directly. It was disheartening to see the chef's meticulous presentation disregarded by the staff, who didn't even bother to set the plates down correctly.
We had a lovely Asian fusion dinner, savoury food was delicious:- (1) Prawn with salted duck egg sauce (3rd best dish) (2) Patagonian tooth fish with broccolini, basil & chilli sauce (best dish of the meal) (3) Chicken with pancakes (would have preferred duck) (4) Steak with asparagus (most Western course of the meal) (5) Lobster with beer & chilli (delicious) (2nd best dish) (6) Fruit salad with cake (Asian desserts are never that impressive) Only 11 people in the room that night and my husband was 1 of 2 Westerners. Service was attentive and excellent communication in the lead up to the dinner via WhatsApp. BYO - so we brought along a white and a red wine to match the various courses. There was a lot of food, so we were happy that we walked to the restaurant from Subi. The walk home helped with digestion.
