Greenhouse is an eco haven in the middle of Perth. The venue is specifically designed to reflect the effect that humans are having on the planet, with a balance between sustainability and beauty. In building it, the designers hoped that their considerations in chosing the features of the venue will act as an example to the public, builders and restauranteurs in the area concerning their materials and ingredients to help create a more sustainable world.
With an emphasis on recycling, many of the restaurants features are distinctly sustainable, with a large worm farm working to process organic waste from the kitchen and produce fertiliser for the rooftop garden. Around 420 straw bales have been used for wall insulation and the interior design is modern yet quirky, with chairs made from old road signs and light shades constructed from fencing wire.
With vertical gardens and a rooftop terrace growing fresh ingredients for the kitchen and bar, the Greenhouse is a place to relax and escape from the stresses of everyday life.
In-keeping with the general vibe, the food is fresh and locally produced, with dishes subject to availability of seasonal ingredients. Click on the menus below for the full range. Table bookings are available from Monday to Thursday and Saturday with a maximum table size of 10.
