Description

The tour begins with a 45-minute drive from Perth, with city pickups between 7:45 and 8:15 am. If you arrange your own transport, meet at Shoalwater Bay by 9:00 am.

After introductions and equipment briefing, the first paddle is approximately 1 kilometer to Seal Island to observe Australian Sea Lions, usually a 15-minute trip in light easterly breezes.

Next, paddle about 2 kilometers (roughly 30 minutes) to Penguin Island where a guided nature walk precedes a healthy picnic lunch.

After lunch, choose to relax under the trees or sun, snorkel, swim, kayak more, or explore the island’s coast, caves, and wildlife including shellfish, starfish, crabs, sea birds (with a pelican colony), lizards, and dolphins.

At around 2:30 pm, the group returns to Shoalwater Bay, a 2.5-kilometer paddle possibly assisted by favorable winds. Once back, participants change into dry clothes using nearby facilities before the return drive to Perth, arriving around 4:30 pm.
