Very disappointing stay. I chose this hotel expecting a relaxing beach getaway, but the experience was far from what I expected. The swimming pool was under renovation, and guests had to walk to another location to use a pool. There was also no sauna or steam room available, which was disappointing considering these were facilities I was looking forward to enjoying. The biggest issue was the noise. I was staying on the 18th floor, but I could still hear and feel the heavy bass from the nightclubs and bars downstairs. The low-frequency rumbling was extremely disruptive and made it very difficult to sleep, especially on a Friday night. On top of that, parking was an additional charge, which added to the disappointment given the overall experience. The location is nice, but the hotel should improve communication about facility closures and address the serious noise issues. I would not recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing stay.

Apart from the eternal renovations, the place isn't too bad. We had a group staying there and had no issues with our rooms or food from the in house restaurant. The housekeeping does come through later in the afternoon which is a little odd. But if you want a cool view and to stay right in Scarborough, you can't beat it for short stay.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I was lucky enough to win the Mother's Day Coastal Escape and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. Everything was taken care of I including dinner & breakfast for two, a late check-out, which made our stay feel extra relaxing and special. The hotel is in a fantastic location overlooking beautiful Scarborough Beach with plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had stunning ocean views. The staff were friendly, welcoming and made us feel looked after throughout our stay. Dinner and breakfast were both delicious and the late check-out meant we could enjoy a slow, relaxing morning before heading home. A huge thank you to the Rendezvous Hotel Scarborough for such a wonderful prize. We had an unforgettable stay and would happily return in the future. Highly recommend!

I recently stayed here for four nights, while the location was great the overall experience was average. The good points: - Location is fantastic just a few steps from the beach, restaurants and cafes. - The car parking facilities were good with plenty of spaces and a discounted rate. - The room was spacious and comfortable during our stay. The bad points: - Firstly we were surprised there was no pool. We didn’t know until we arrived, this was booked through a third party and we thought the photos of the pool were current. They provided passes to a busy public lap pool. - The shower had some flooding which we had to clean up with towels after reporting to the cleaners they said it wasn’t their responsibility. I’d have thought they would make note of this and tell the maintenance team and clean up. This made the hotel feel like a budget experience. - Disappointingly we thought the sparkling water on the bench was complimentary being outside the fridge, only to find out we were charged $18 for this. Scarborough is lovely, unfortunately I’d not recommend staying at this hotel currently.

We’re currently on our second (and final) night of a two-night stay at Rendezvous, celebrating our daughter’s birthday, and it has truly been a lovely experience overall. From the moment we arrived, we felt very welcomed. The birthday note for our daughter was such a thoughtful touch, and the complimentary chocolates and bottle of wine were a wonderful surprise — small gestures that made the celebration feel extra special. One of the highlights of our stay has been the breakfast buffet. I honestly didn’t expect much at first and had only booked breakfast for one morning, but after experiencing it today, I immediately added breakfast for our second morning as well. It was absolutely worth it. The selection was great, everything was fresh, and the kids especially loved the pancake station. We also really appreciated the little goodie bag for the kids — the beach hat, lollies, and the adventure passport (complete with free ice cream) were such a hit and made our daughter feel very spoilt. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a very comfy bed, great pillows, and a beautiful ocean view that we enjoyed throughout our stay. Every staff member we’ve interacted with has been friendly, attentive, and genuinely lovely, which made a big difference. If I had to mention a couple of minor downsides: the parking area had an unpleasant smell, and while the room was clean, parts of the bathroom/toilet area do feel a little dated. That said, neither of these took away from our overall enjoyment. All in all, we’ve had a wonderful stay and felt well looked after. The thoughtful touches, excellent breakfast, and warm hospitality made this a memorable birthday getaway for our family. We’d happily stay again.
