Nice place to hang around for a drink and food. We had a good platter of chorizo, fish chips, prawns, arancini, crackers and dips. I love the dried grapes and fig paste. Depends on what you order actually and presentation was good. The group had beers and I loved my chai latte, bcz it was not the very sweet syrupy kind. Overlooking the water, very relaxing. I forgot to take photos because we were chatting! 🫤
I recently enjoyed a wonderful meal at The Boathouse with a group of friends and was thoroughly impressed with the entire experience. The food was excellent, with the sizzling prawns and chilli mussels being particular highlights. Our meals arrived promptly and were beautifully presented. To finish, I ordered the sticky date pudding, which was absolutely delicious and the perfect end to the evening. What stood out most, however, was the exceptional service. The staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout the night. A special mention goes to Sarah, who took the time to check in on us and ensure everything was to our satisfaction. Her friendly and professional approach made our experience even more enjoyable. The restaurant itself was clean, well-maintained, and had a fantastic atmosphere. The prices were reasonable, the location is stunning, and the beautiful views only added to the experience. Overall, it was a fantastic evening with friends. Great food, excellent service, and a wonderful setting. I would highly recommend The Boathouse and look forward to visiting again.
Lunch on a Sunday. Great venue, beautiful view. Ordered lunch at the counter- burgers and fish and chips with drinks. They came out quickly and both tasted fabulous. I’m always loving a good burger so was happy with this one. Ordered dessert and coffee using the QR code. It got stuck at the last step for ages. Went up to the counter to see what we could do- she said yep it’s really bad reception here and does that. Maybe you could go for a walk???! Seriously? I left my other two guests and walked around the pier, coming back with exactly the same “still processing “ screen. I used the app so I didn’t have to leave the table, let alone walk around the block. Maybe dont offer QR ordering if you know there’s an issue there. A real damper to an otherwise nice meal. Definitely order at the counter peeps! Food was good otherwise.
It was our first visit tonight, but certainly won’t be our last! The food was amazing. One of the best chicken parmi’s I’ve ever had - so flavourful! The chips were so crispy and tasty and the best my husband has ever tasted - he’s Irish and takes potatoes very seriously. The chocolate brownie was delicious and soft and the kids enjoyed their vanilla ice cream. We rolled out of the restaurant and enjoyed the sunset along the marina.
