After deciding that his mother’s art gallery could do with a bit more energy, Michael Taylor set out to build his very own café to give locals what was missing; locally roasted coffee and thoughtful food. Taylor’s Art and Coffee House is ideal for breakfast and lunch, with its fresh, organic ingredients and quality locally roasted coffee. Vegetables for the café are home grown in the family’s 4.5 acre property and the menu changes with the season, with daily specials always meaning new foods are on offer to try. Constant improvements to the garden mean better sustainability for the café and the environment, which is a big part of the café’s vibe.
Art is on show in the adjoining gallery by established lino cut print artist Jude Taylor, who exhibits her breathtaking West Australian wildflower and landscape artworks. Located on the grounds of the café, you will also find unique bespoke jewellery and silverware by silversmith Beth Linton.
