The word 'Ria' loosely translates as happy, which is the main philosophy of this delightful restaurant, with carefully chosen staff to help reflect this atmosphere. The authentic Malysian style cooking works to combine the cultural influences that have been added to the Malay melting pot over the years, namely a fusion of flavours from India, China and even as far as Portugal.

The cuisine feels as though it's been lovingly cooked by a Malaysian mother, using only the best fresh ingredients. Owner Nicholas Bond is always searching for new produce to enhance the delicate flavours of his delicious menu, using locally sourced, fresh produce wherever possible.

The meals range from well renowned dishes such as Chinese shredded beef to the lesser known, such as the Malaccan Lamb Semur, with a Portuguese and Chinese influence and spiced with star anise and cinnamon.
