I had my 40th birthday dinner at Oceans 27 and I arrived ready to put some decorations on the tables, but was so surprised when I walked in and they already did a beautiful job with flowers and it looked gorgeous! They were ready for me and my guests and super organised. Good came out quickly and it was such a friendly and welcoming evening!! Thank you so so much Oceans 27!! Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!
Was particularly quiet when I visited Oceans 27 on a lazy friday afternoon in May. The set up is beautiful, abundany outdoor seating next to the beach. I sat in the sun and had a coffee, the Two Rocks Occy, and a jalapeño margarita. The marg was delicious and actually spicy! The octopus was tender and deliciously balanced with the fennel and saffron cream. The coffee was a very nice suprise (I can be a bit of a coffee snob) but this one was great. The only quarm I would have, is that I wasn't sure where to order when I walked in, however the staff were all so lovely and helpful. I will definatly be back for the 15$ Friday margarita special, and to try the Bottomless Saturday special.
This place is right next to the beach, so it’s super easy to get to. We went for lunch on a sunny Sunday with friends and our dog, and it was quite busy. Despite that, the food arrived quickly and was really good. I had the chicken burger, which I enjoyed, and the porchetta was also delicious. They even sell puppuccinos for dogs, which was such a nice touch!
One of my favourite places on the Coast. The Seafood Board is absolutely divine, 4 if us shared it - you get, fish, prawns, salmon, salad, octopus, squid, oysters (massive) with a Chilli Prawn Pizza and the kids got Chicken Burgers (they loved them too).
We visited Oceans 27 for Valentine’s Day dinner. The food and drinks were beautiful. Everything was well presented and full of flavour, and the staff were friendly and welcoming despite how busy the night was. There were, however, a few things that impacted the overall experience. Our table was positioned directly beside the kitchen, with staff standing close by and communicating with the chef throughout service. On a special occasion like Valentine’s Day, we were hoping for a more intimate atmosphere, so this did take away from the setting. We were asked if we would like our entrée and mains brought out together, followed by dessert, which we agreed to. Unfortunately, one of our dishes was forgotten and I had to follow up with a waitress to check on it. After finishing our mains, we were waiting a while for dessert and had to ask again to let staff know we were ready. Shortly after, another staff member standing right beside the kitchen asked if we were ready for dessert, despite us having just confirmed this moments earlier. We understand it was a busy evening, but the service flow felt uncoordinated. There were also quite a lot of flies inside the restaurant, which made dining uncomfortable. The food itself was excellent. However, for a $200 evening, we did expect a smoother and more polished experience overall. With more attention to coordination and atmosphere, this venue could truly match the quality of its food.
