We booked a Premier King Room at Crown Towers for my husband and I to celebrate a special birthday this weekend. The aim of the weekend was some rest and relaxation away from the children, an indulgent lie in and we added the Club Lounge for ease of relaxing for the evening. The room decor was lovely and the hotel had an ambience of a high end establishment as we had planned. The club room experience had limited options for drinks but the food was of a good standard. Unfortunately following our evening out both our room keys had been stopped and just after midnight we were unable to return to our room. There were no staff around at the club level so I sat in the club lounge where I waited 30 minutes for my husband as he’d had to return to the main reception where there was a large disturbance which security were dealing with and the queues to see a member of staff were excessive. The next morning we were rudely awoken by construction work at 7am. We called guest services who said they would investigate however they never came back to us even to offer ear plugs or a change of room and late check out so we could get some rest, we knew the hotel pool was undergoing renovation as advised at the time of booking however what we were not informed of and what Crown are legally required to inform us of under Australian Consumer Law is the piling at the neighbouring 2 year construction site. The piling was continuous at a rate of 30 bangs per minute from 7am. Had we have wanted to be up and awake at 7am we would have stayed home with the kids! At check out we asked to see a manager who instantly said “oh yes the neighbouring site are piling just now” So the hotel was aware of the work yet not aware of their legal responsibility under ACL to inform us of such work so if sleeping after 7am or having a quiet room was important to us we could chose a different hotel or a room not overlooking the site. The manager on duty told us she did not know the legalities regarding construction work around the hotel and offered a 25% discount. This offer on a night that we would not have booked had we have been given the full information as required by Australian Law seems wholly insufficient and not what we expect of a brand like Crown. The hotel is still beautiful but I’d highly recommend doing your research before booking regarding the local building work, if like us you are booking for rest and relaxation as it appears the hotel is not informing guests of the ongoing disturbance.

Stayed here for a 2-night staycay with my partner and as always, it was a great time. This isn't my first stay and it never disappoints. The rooms are fantastic and this trip we finally got to make the most of the pool since the weather was on our side, the poolside service was excellent too. But what really stood out this trip were the bellmen. All three we crossed paths with taking our bags to and from the room were amazing, especially Glenn on our last day. It wasn't just great customer service but genuine warmth and energy that made the whole experience feel that much more special. Crown Towers is just always a winner. The casino and restaurants like Nobu make it a fun getaway and if that's not enough to keep you entertained, the gym is huge and really well equipped. There's also the new urban district and the crown theatre that usually has cool shows going on. It's also close enough to the city for convenience of other things. Already looking forward to the next stay!

Definately on the cheap now, except for room prices. Shampoo now bolted to wall on bulk packs like a budget motel. Rebranded Metropol quality toiletries shows money saving measures in place. Rooms starting to look dated, but better than Casino floor itself. Staff, however, do their best to please.
