I love the Criterion. My friend stays here all the time..now i know why. Its so close to everything. The rooms are a dated but clean. It could do with a spruce but the concierge & staff are so great. I will be staying here from now on..the price, staff & convenience is a huge draw. 😊
The hotel is very budget. Tv didn’t work, burn holes in the bedding, air conditioner wouldn’t stay on in the middle of winter so room got very cold, broken shower head, doors so thin you can hear what your neighbours are doing in their room. If you can afford something a little nicer I’d go for it. Staff were very nice and helpful.
I dont understand why people has so many complain, it is the cheapest hotel by far in perth but it has all i need. The room is big enough to open 2 luggage. They have cloth storage, and tv table,. it has 2 doors fridge and bed is bit old but still manageable to sleep. The washroom also ok, only to close the shower tap is bit hard. But yes its super clean and the staff are all friendly, one even help me to warm the food. Too bad they dont have breakfast. Location is 10/10 its in CBD walkable to Chemist, Woolsworth, london court, etc. food are easy to find and jogging to Elizabeth Quay only need short step. I will come back. The design etc a bit outdated but i dont need to do selfie there, so all good.
- The customer service is really bad. Both receptionists were so unfriendly, no smile, agressive tone, looked bored and annoyed. This looks very unprofessional. That sets the mood straight on arrival. I’ll never stay there again. When we checked out, same attitude. We told that person that their attitude was really not nice and he definitely didn’t care at all. - The room was a good size. The walls need a wipe or repainting. There were food splashes on the wall. Besides that, it was clean. The bed was comfy. The shower didn’t have pressure at all and the water was either cold or too hot. No handle on the door in the inside of shower, just a bolt sticking out. Could be improved. And the exhaust grill inside the shower definitely needs a clean more often. Ours was completely blocked. The building is a bit outdated. Cracks on the walls everywhere from piping in the bathroom. Positive: The lift works, linen and towels were fresh and good. Top location and it was quiet.
Room was dark and dated although clean. The receptionist was initially grumpy but chilled out after a bit of chatter. The hotel smells damp when you walk in and really needs a massive upgrade. Plus side is that it's convenient for the train station, restaurants and bars. Nothing to recommend it other than it's location.
