Picturesque Busselton Jetty is a must see for any visitor to the Margaret River wine region.
It stands as the longest timber-piled jetty in the Southern Hemisphere, extending 1.8km across stunning Geographe Bay.
Jump on board the famous jetty train and visit the Underwater Observatory. Descend eight metres below the water’s surface to observe some of the 300 different marine species that live beneath the jetty in a forest of vividly coloured corals, sponges, fish and invertebrates.
Take a dip, throw a line or visit the striking boat-shed style Interpretive Centre where you’ll find an array of locally crafted gifts and home wares. Uncover the jetty’s rich history at the Cultural Heritage Museum, located within the Interpretive Centre. Here you’ll find an excellent insight into the jetty’s fascinating past through a variety of interpretive signs, artefacts and audio visual displays. The museum also provides information about the Busselton Jetty’s unique Underwater Observatory and the spectacular marine environment beneath the Busselton Jetty.
