For those with a fun and magical side, step into fairyland over at The Pickled Fairy & Other Myths, based in Freemantle, Western Australia. Providing the latest in cute dresses from the ‘Little Gems’ collection in varying colours, folklore toys and costumes, paintings, scented candles and other fabulous arts and crafts, The Pickled Fairy is a must-see for those looking for something a bit mystical and different.
This quaint shop also provides parties for all ages, held in their very own ‘fairy glen’. For girls aged five and over, they have a popular Fairy Party – now running for 12 years – and for the boys there is the Crystal Mountain Adventure party. Both of these storytelling parties involve tales of elves, trolls and other creatures of legend, all magically interwoven to include the birthday boy or girl. Make sure you come dressed as your favourite fairyland character!
