Australia's new art and design concept place, Venn, is a fusion of creative worlds.
The building houses an art gallery, design shop, artist studios and bar/cafe all under one roof and has been established in an old flour mill factory from the early 20th century. It has undergone many rejuvenations in its time but 2010 saw the wonderfully artistic creation of Venn. A large portion of the original interior has been maintained throughout the building such as the pressed tin ceilings and polished floorboards, which combined with the contemporary design aspects creates a truly dynamic atmosphere.
The leading edge venue in the heart of the city is perfect for any kind of event from private hire, corporate evenings, presentations or even birthdays (contact functions@venn.net for more details).
The cafe and bar on the ground floor serves hand selected coffees and delicious, flavoursome food throughout the day. The focus is on seasonal foods and the menu makes the most of the best Australian produce from local growers.
This then transforms into a bar in the evenings with atmospheric music to accompany bar snacks, wine and Australian beer. The modern exposed brick work contrasts with the concrete bar and flooring to create a modern warehouse feel in an intimate space, opening up to a roof terrace area on Friday evenings.
