5pm on a Friday. Everything is closed or closing. Very few restaurants open beyond pubs. Not sure when it is appropriate to go as it always seems like a ghost town. Is it normally more vibrant in the summer? We don’t live in the area so we’ve only visited a few times. Great walking space. Beautiful boat harbor, and sunset on the water. Easy to find toilets and accessible spaces.
Nice to stroll around the shops and harbour. Lovely restaurants, beautiful fresh seafood.
We visited this Harbour 2 days in a row. Its is full of hustle and bustle and lots of options to choose from. Whether it be food, shopping or ferry tickets there is something for everyone. Lots of parking!! But it’s confusing! Some places you can park for more than 4 hours, some you can’t. We had a parking permit which we were told would allow us all day access but we were given a polite warning we exceeded the 4hr limit. So I’m not sure where we should have parked
Always our favourite spot-came here with my son when he was little to play and learn how to swim, it’s a safe and cosy spot to do it and relax. Still come here after over 20 yrs to check it out - all the way from Adelaide.
Lots to see and plenty of choices to eat at or grab a drink. Great for family outings, couples, friends, a solo walk. Ypu name ir, it's here! We went for a paint 'n sip and had a great afternoon. San Churrios won our appetite. I've been to Hillarys several times over the years. Its grown in popularity and diverse attractions. Great for a day's outing.
