Sixteen years ago, passionate foodie Patrick Vualliat set up Sugar & Spice due to his love of baking. Two years later, after outgrowing its old premises due to increasing demand, the four employees moved to Joondalup where they increased to 16 to share a passion for food and maintaining Sugar & Spice's thriving reputation.
If you're on a diet, then this is the time to break it, the emphasis is on indulgence and no compromise is made on quality. Think total extravagance and you're half way to the lavish cakes available which have to be seen to be believed. The sweet toothed among us will be in heaven as they specialise in French pastry, mini cakes, and their famous vanilla slices.
The heavenly larger cakes made to order are available in any number of designs; layers, ripples and swirls of chocolate, fruit or even personalised with photos and names, and wedding cakes to die for.
As if that wasn't enough, they offer catering for lunches, parties and functions with sandwiches, quiches, savory muffins and pies all made fresh on the premises.
And it's not just us that think they're wonderful. Their extensive list of awards and accolades range from Australia's best bakery 2010 to the 2008 Women's Weekly best pie award!
