I stopped by this bar while exploring Perth with a long-time friend. After walking around the city centre together, it was the perfect place to sit down, relax, and take in the beautiful surroundings. Overlooking Elizabeth Quay, where ferries to South Perth and private yachts are moored, the location truly showcases one of Perth's most attractive waterfront views. Its inviting atmosphere naturally catches the attention of people strolling along the promenade or crossing the bridge, making many of them pause and consider stepping inside. With the charming marina on one side and Perth's modern glass towers on the other, this cosy outdoor bar is the perfect spot to spend a leisurely afternoon with a glass of New Zealand Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. It is an ideal place to embrace the simple pleasure of slowing down and enjoying a peaceful weekday afternoon. By chance, I passed by again over the weekend. The only aspect that felt slightly out of place was the live music. While the performance itself was enjoyable, the selection of older folk and country songs didn't quite match the stylish waterfront setting. Of course, music is a matter of personal taste, but I couldn't help imagining how wonderful it would be if Sunday morning or afternoon sessions featured Brazilian jazz or bossa nova instead. I think that kind of music would perfectly complement the scenery, catch the ears of passers-by, and perhaps even tempt them to stay a little longer and order another drink.

I went here on a Saturday night with one other friend for some light finger food and ordered the bruschetta and tacos. The food was good quality but may have expected more for the price and serving size (about $25-30 for each). The toast could have been crunchier as well as the tacos less dry. But the atmosphere is great with the view of Elizabeth quay and the music. It was very busy at this time so it did take about 20mins for food to come which is not too bad.

Highly recommend this place. Great setup and views, the food is actually amazing and this is coming from a total Melbournian food snob😅 I had the entre sized tacos (so delicious) and shared the pepperoni pizza (super delicious). We went in early April after Easter holidays and got an outdoor table easy enough but highly recommend booking in peak season. Highly recommend :)

Had a really enjoyable meal at The Island Restaurant at Elizabeth Quay. The dishes were not only beautifully presented but also packed with flavor. The beef was tender and rich, paired perfectly with the creamy base, while the fish was fresh and well-seasoned with a nice balance of textures. Dessert was a highlight—warm, moist cake with ice cream on top that melted perfectly into every bite. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxed, and the service was friendly and attentive. Overall, a great spot for good food and a nice dining experience by the water.

We found the seafood share plate to be very over priced for what we got! We paid $400 for two plates. The top tier had something, not sure if they were prawns, deep fried and very over cooked. Not sure what was inside the cray halves but didnt taste like cray. Scollops & oysters were good.
