Description
Depart from Perth for a 45-minute drive south to Shoalwater Islands Marine Park. After an introduction to your double kayak and equipment, paddle approximately 1 kilometre to Seal Island to observe Australian Sea Lions. The crossing usually takes about 15 minutes in light easterly breeze conditions.
Next, paddle about 2 kilometres to Point Peron for a beachside picnic lunch provided by your guide. After lunch, you can relax, snorkel, swim, continue kayaking, or explore the area. Around 1:30pm, regroup for the 2.5-kilometre return paddle, often with the option to raft up and sail back if the wind allows.
After drying off and changing at the start point (toilet facilities available), return to Perth, arriving around 3:30pm.
