Description

The Kalamunda to Mundaring Weir section of the Bibbulmun Track features rugged terrain with rocky paths, flowing creeks, granite boulders, and sweeping valley vistas. Starting at the Bibbulmun Track Northern Terminus in Kalamunda, you will hike through Jorgensen Park and Kalamunda National Park, following Piesse Brook with scenic valley views.

The trail then ascends past granite outcrops into Jarrah forest before stopping for lunch at the Trails Hub Café. The afternoon includes hiking through Paulls Valley, reaching Golden View lookout for views of Mundaring Weir, then continuing through Beelu National Park to the weir and Lake CY O’Connor. Interpretive signs explain the significance of this engineering landmark.

After crossing the Mundaring Weir, the route passes more granite boulders and finishes at Mundaring Weir Hotel, where you can enjoy a refreshing drink.
