Description
Join a guided 11-kilometer hike to Abyssinia Rock, walking through jarrah and she-oak bushland with grass trees, banksias, and wildflowers. The trail starts with a gentle uphill section before narrowing and winding along a ridge.
A southern break in the trees offers glimpses of the landscape ahead. Following the Wagyl, the route descends to Abyssinia Rock, a large granite dome where you can enjoy morning tea while taking in views of the Monadnocks of the Darling Range.
Afterward, the group returns along the same trail to the meeting point. The tour is led by trained and insured guides from Off The Beaten Track WA, equipped with communication devices and safety equipment for a secure hiking experience.

Important Information
- What to Bring: Backpack with 2–3 litres of water, camera, personal first aid/medications, hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, sturdy hiking or walking shoes, raincoat, warm layer.
- Terrain: The 11 km hike is mostly flat with a short ascent and descent, graded level 3 difficulty. Suitable for most people with reasonable fitness; no prior hiking experience required.
- Accessibility: Suitable for people with cognitive disabilities/autism and low hearing. May accommodate some with low vision or other disabilities—contact the operator to discuss adaptations.
