Description

Depart from Perth on a fully narrated one-hour cruise along the Swan River to Fremantle, where you board the ferry to Rottnest Island—locally called 'Rotto'. Upon arrival, proceed to the main bus station at Thomson Bay for a 1.5-hour guided coach tour.

The tour covers the island’s history, culture, and wildlife, highlighting secluded beaches and the famous quokkas. Stops include Wadjemup Lighthouse and the West End boardwalk, where coastal scenery is visible. Look out for fur seals at Cathedral Rocks and, seasonally from mid-September to November, humpback whales.

After the tour at Thomson Bay, enjoy free time to explore independently. Options include renting bikes to visit one of 63 beaches or 20 bays, snorkeling, stand-up paddleboarding, or visiting Lomas Cottage, Rottnest Island Museum, and Pilot Boathouse. The day concludes with a return ferry to Fremantle or Perth. Additional activities, rentals, and food are not included.
