Description
On day one, enjoy a scenic drive from Perth to several coastal towns. Your first stop is Mandurah, where you can stretch your legs or purchase coffee by the foreshore. Next is Bunbury, where you will visit the Featured Wood Gallery, followed by Busselton for lunch.
After lunch, take a walk along Busselton Jetty, the longest timber jetty in the southern hemisphere at 1.1 miles (1.8 km) extending into Geographe Bay. Continue south to Margaret River, stopping at the Margaret River Chocolate Company for a visit.
Next, visit the McLeod family farm to observe horses and Western Grey Kangaroos in their natural habitat. After the day’s touring, settle into your accommodation for the night. Evening meals are at your own expense.
On day two, start with breakfast at The White Elephant café by the beach. Explore Mammoth Cave, a fossil-bearing cave unique to the southwest region. Then drive through Boranup Forest to see majestic Karri trees and sample varieties of Jarrah, Karri, and Marri honey.
Travel through Augusta to the Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse, the tallest lighthouse on mainland Australia. Take a guided tour to learn about the lighthouse and spot where the Southern and Indian Oceans meet. Whale sightings are possible.
Lunch is at the Colour Patch restaurant, overlooking the Blackwood River. On the return trip, stop for wine tasting at an award-winning winery. You will have free time to stroll Margaret River’s main street and purchase souvenirs. Return to accommodation by 5:00 PM. Evening meals are not included.
Day three begins with a visit to Yahava Koffee Works for coffee tasting and expert insights. Visit two boutique vineyards for wine tasting, including cheese and crackers paired at the second vineyard. Lunch is served at Olio Bello, where you can sample extra virgin olive oils, balsamics, relishes, and regional produce.
After lunch, the tour returns to Perth, arriving around 6:00 PM.
