I had such a wonderful dining experience here. Everything we ordered was prepared with care and presented beautifully. The highlight was definitely the platter featuring the delicate prawns served in individual white spoons alongside the crisp, garnish-topped dish. The balance of textures was impressive, and every bite tasted fresh and flavorful. I would highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area. It is rare to find a place that hits the mark on both presentation and taste so consistently. I will certainly be returning soon.
Lovely location with a nice atmosphere, great service and quality food. My partner and I ordered the Aussie classic of sweet and sour pork, beef mince fried rice and stir fried vegetable egg noodles. We also enjoyed the Peking duck entree. The sweet and sour pork was crispy and juicy, the rice had a strong soy flavour but was not overly salty, the noodles had a nice wok hei flavour. Overall the meal was nice with a lot of familiar flavours with a bonus being on first table.
What an incredible dining experience at Lantern On the Quay! From the moment we arrived, the service was spot on — attentive, friendly, and perfectly paced. The food was outstanding and easily some of the best I’ve eaten in Perth. We started with the crumbed wasabi oysters, which were a perfect mix of crunchy and creamy with a lovely kick. The San choy bow was packed with flavour, followed by beautiful scallops in XO sauce. The wok-fried pork ribs were ridiculously good, and the vegetarian ma-po tofu was so well executed it had us going back for more. We finished with the fried ice cream (absolute heaven) and a bottle of Taittinger champagne, which rounded out a perfect meal. Everything was cooked beautifully, full of flavour, and presented really well . Lantern On the Quay has set a new benchmark for us in Perth. Highly recommended — we’ll definitely be back! We visited Lantern on the Quay for Christmas dinner and had a really great experience overall. The food was spot on, and the wait time for service was very reasonable. Everything we ordered was full of flavour. The lobster noodles were a standout for me, while the kids really enjoyed the duck and fried rice. The corn soup and cocktails were also very well done. The only downside was the parking—it can be a bit tricky. But aside from that, everything else was close to perfect.
The most exceptional restaurant! The best I have had in Perth AND Adelaide! Nothing compares. The menu here is outstanding and to such a high level of quality. The presentation, the flavours, the hospitality, everything was amazing. The pan fried tooth fish was incredible, the sirloin steak cubes just melted in my mouth. The soft shell crab was the best I've had. This was an absolute pleasure and I can't wait to come back. I was here for a holiday and now I'm looking for any excuse to come back so I can dine here again!
