A beautiful island to visit, with plenty of quokkas to see along the way. Renting a bike is a great way to explore the island and enjoy the stunning scenery. Definitely worth a visit.
🥹🥹🥹🥹Best experience ever... I have wait for 15 years to get a selfie with a Quokka and within ten minutes of landing on the island I had my selfie ☺️☺️. Hire an E bike if you're not used to cycling. The Island looks flat...But gees there are some hectic hills.
Beautiful island with lots of beautiful beaches. Paid for the hop on - hop off bus to go around the island to visit as many beaches as possible. Saw the resident quokkas, as well as dolphins, seals, fishes and coral. Toilets and water refills are limited, so make sure you make use of those that are available. A few stores at the main dock to buy a few supplies for your day at Rottnest. Lovely day out, would recommend.
What a beautiful island!! Hired the electric bikes,well worth it ,would not hire normal bike as it's quiet hilly. The scenery is spectacular with the pink lake,beautiful beaches and of course the Quokka's im obsessed with the friendly little creatures.
Very good outing for the family. Kids loved the beaches and just soaking up the atmosphere. Highly recommended. Things we learnt. Chat to the volunteers. They are fantastic. The local wildlife comes out when the afternoon cools down. That's when we found the best photo opportunities. We got there early and left mid afternoon. Next time we will arrive mid morning and leave on the last ferry. Do a lap around the island on the bus to see what takes your fancy. We found that we were best to hang about in the main beach and wharf areas. Push bikes..... we saw more unhappy people than happy riding three island. It's not all flat and there were a few people who crashed. The roads are narrow to share with the buses. Just saying, your call.
