La Lune was an amazing experience the service was great and food arrived quickly despite the restaurant being busy. We started with the French onion soup and baked Brie which were both really good. For mains we both went for the 250g steak and were not disappointed by the portion size to be honest the fries didn’t do it for me nor the sauce that was served but they steak was beautiful. The atmosphere was lovely indoors and out, where we enjoyed our dinner.
Had such an amazing experience at La Lune in Fremantle. The service was incredibly welcoming and attentive from the moment we arrived, making the whole night feel really special. The food was absolutely outstanding — easily the best steak I’ve ever had. It was cooked perfectly, and the pairing sauce was terrific and complemented the steak so well. To finish, the crème brûlée with passionfruit was delicious and the perfect dessert to end the meal. Highly recommend La Lune for anyone looking for incredible food and genuinely warm service!
This is a great and cozy spot! Loved the atmosphere and lighting of the restaurant. The crème brûlée is a must! And definitely pay the bit more for the ribeye steak as I had the cheaper option and while the sauce and flavours were delish, it was just a bit too fatty for my liking
La Lune Fremantle – Romantic French Dining in the Heart of Freo La Lune is one of the best French restaurants in Fremantle, especially if you’re looking for a romantic date-night restaurant in Freo. Located on a quiet street, it’s easy to spot thanks to the charming outdoor seating and beautifully styled tables. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. The staff were genuinely kind, welcoming, and attentive without being intrusive. We were looked after by a French waiter whose wine recommendation was excellent, adding authenticity and elevating the overall dining experience. The ambience is warm, intimate, and relaxed, with a stylish crowd and a lovely street-side setting. Sitting outside with a glass of wine, watching people pass by and admiring Fremantle’s heritage homes, created a truly European feel. We shared steak and olives, and the food quality was outstanding. The steak was cooked perfectly and full of flavour, showing great consistency and attention to detail. For the quality of food, service, and atmosphere, La Lune offers excellent value. If you’re searching for great service, romantic ambience, quality wine, and consistent French food in Fremantle, La Lune is a must-visit. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommended.
Food was delicious although the lamb was tough and overcooked since there was no pink remaining, was chewy and difficult to cut. Duck, octopus and gratin were especially amazing and very flavourful. Can appreciate that not all restaurant advertise still water as a charge but in good faith, the waiter should offer “sparkling, still or tap” instead of just “sparkling or still”. Not a big problem, but I think customers should know the bottle charge is $5 or $2 pp (whatever the calculation is that came to $10 for a group of 5 to drink water). Staff were nice. Waiter was professional. Front of house manager was a bit aloof and just grabbed the menus after I told him we had a reservation and walked into the dining area without even gesturing or asking us to follow. When we paid our bill he was just singing aloud and didn’t even ask us how our experience was. Some decorum and personal attention would make the experience better. All in all, a good time but some things that should’ve been ironed out by now considering La Lune has been around for years.
