What a spot! From arrival to departure the staff were fantastic. The rooms are spacious, well equipped and the right mix of modern and classic. Cookies from the neighbouring bakery was a lovely touch as was the card. Looking forward to my next visit
The Owston is a beautiful hotel with everything you need for a stay in Fremantle. The staff are friendly and helpful and you are made to feel immediately welcome and at home. The coffee shop and restaurant next door are both excellent and the hotel is in a great location for all the main spots in Fremantle. I would definitely recommend a stay here!
Incredibly cosy and perfectly situated in the old town/university quarter. a newly opened hotel. The staff are friendly, welcoming and the rooms and service are subtly high quality (e.g., gourmet coffee in the rooms). The decor and styling are perfectly in keeping with the quarter's historic roots, and yet everything is effortlessly modern, beautifully finished and designed excellently (check some of the furniture and light fittings for attention to detail!). The rooms are spacious, very comfortable, and possessed of a very relaxed atmosphere. I would stay here and enjoy it - no doubt - every time I visit. I wish their enterprise every success!
We had a fabulous stay at Owston hotel. Their attention to detail is impeccable and the staff were so accommodating and helpful with local recommendations. We found the location superb with many excellent dining options along high street. Would recommended Owston to anyone travelling to Perth and can’t wait to return again. Thankyou!
We recently did a stay-cation at Owston Hotel and it exceeded expectations across the board. The location is hard to beat — right in the heart of Fremantle, with everything within easy walking distance, from the cafés and bars to the waterfront. Being just minutes from Bathers Beach and the main strip makes it incredibly convenient without ever feeling hectic. What really stood out, though, was the sense of privacy. Despite being so central, the hotel feels quiet, intimate, and tucked away — more like a private retreat than a typical hotel. With only a small number of rooms, it has a boutique feel that makes the whole experience more personal. Check-in was seamless and straightforward, which set the tone from the start. Everything felt well thought through and easy. The design and decor deserve a special mention — genuinely impressive. The styling is modern, understated, and very on-trend, with a strong sense of place. Photos don’t really do it justice; it feels much more refined and cohesive in person. Overall, this is a perfect option for a Fremantle stay-cation — great location, beautifully designed, and a calm, private atmosphere that makes it feel like a proper escape. Would absolutely stay again.
