I stumbled across this little takeaway place when I was wondering around the settlement looking for something tasty for lunch when I saw the board saying Cray Dogs. I went to investigate and was told they were toasted rolls with locally caught Western rock lobster tail. That sounded like a unique lunch at Rottnest and it was very delicious. Even a quokka tried to get it off me so look out for them. The service was friendly, professional and relaxed. They also have affogato which was perfect after my Cray Dog. I will be going back there on my next visit.
Best coffee, service and food on Rotto. 💯 can’t be beaten. Well done and thank you! Great vegan options too! We love this banana bread toasted. It’ll be in our dreams until we return to rotto!
Nice place to have lunch on Rottnest Island. Sample the famous CrayDog and then get a beautiful Simmos icecream next door..Perfect lunch!
Great spot on the island for coffee and light bites! Had the Portuguese egg tart and it was sooo delicious. Friendly service by the staff there as well.
The craydog (freshly caught crayfish with jalapeño harissa, garlic & lime mayo in a soft bun) is SO delicious! Plus the perk of dining with a view of quokkas and joeys! Thanks to Tiana and team for the wonderful service too. One of the things I did enjoy was hearing them say “Thank you ” when calling out the order instead of just yelling out the name. Gratitude makes such a huge positive difference to the vibe of a cafe! Big thanks Lane Cafe for making the Rotto adventure so special 💕
