Dôme Café - Rottnest Island
Perth
Recenzje
Perched right on the edge of Thomson Bay, Dôme Café on Rottnest Island offers one of the most scenic vantage points of any chain café in Western Australia. Located just a short stroll from the main ferry jetty, its prime real estate makes it an incredibly popular first stop for arriving tourists and a relaxed final waiting zone before heading back to the mainland. The main draw here is the exceptional alfresco seating area. Watching the pristine turquoise waters and arriving boats while sipping a flat white is a classic "Rotto" experience. The menu features the reliable, extensive Dôme staples—all-day big breakfasts, pancakes, wraps, and fish and chips. Because it is a franchise, you know exactly what comfort food to expect, though pricing is slightly elevated to reflect the island location. Service is generally quick, adapting well to the heavy foot traffic of hungry cyclists and families. As a delightful bonus, you will frequently spot local quokkas wandering casually between the outdoor tables. While the food itself is standard café fare rather than high-end dining, the unrivaled view and breezy atmosphere make it a highly convenient, comforting staple of the island.
There is a good selection of food and drinks to choose from. Tried their Margherita pizza, fish tacos, Caesar salad and garlic bread. Portion is ok although the garlic bread is on the expensive side. Otherwise all tasted alright. Plenty of seats both inside and outside. Service is friendly and food arrived very fast. Not a bad place for lunch while visiting Rottnest Island especially if you are looking for cheaper and fast dining on the island.
A must-stop while exploring Rottnest! The coffee was exceptional—perfectly made with beautiful latte art. The atmosphere inside is warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot to take a break. Five stars for the food, service, and wonderful vibe!
