On my way home , I popped into The beach bar , beautiful view of the. Ocean & beach 🏖️ lovely music playing in the background, I ordered a cheeseburger , which was very nice indeed, and a hot pot of tea, (yes ) hot tea, it’s a 💯 relaxing place. See you guys soon , 👏🏻👏🏻
We grew up at City Beach, so it felt fitting to use Clancy's Fish Bar to farewell our brother with around 30 family members and friends. From our initial contact, the team was both professional and helpful. On the day, we arrived early and made our way to the roped-off function area. We were immediately approached and asked if we were attending the function, which gave us confidence that our gathering would remain private and would not be interrupted by the general public. Everything was exactly as requested. The area was set aside for us, the bar was ready, there was plenty of space to mingle, the fire was lit, and the screen and microphone were all set up. We even had staff dedicated to looking after our group. Neville and his team seemed to go out of their way to cater for every need. The food just kept coming, and we were impressed by the presentation, variety, flavour and ease of eating while socialising. Requests for a pot of tea or an ice cream were handled quickly and cheerfully. Losing a loved one is difficult, and organising a gathering to celebrate their life can feel overwhelming. Neville and his team took so much of that burden from our shoulders. Their care, attention to detail and quiet efficiency allowed us to focus on what really mattered—sharing stories, memories and time with family and friends. The location was perfect. Throughout the afternoon, we and our guests were able to look out through the panoramic windows to the beach where we had all grown up. It provided a wonderful backdrop for sharing memories and celebrating our brother's life. Thank you to Neville and the entire team for helping make a difficult day both memorable and special. We would not hesitate to recommend Clancy's Fish Bar for a family gathering, celebration, or farewell.
I have been here regularly with family and friends and we always enjoy it. On our last visit we visited the Beach Bar and ordered a salmon poke bowl and fish and chips. The poke bowl was very good although the fish and chips were not up to the usual standard. The place has a great atmosphere and is great to stop for a coffee before or after a beach visit. Also the playground next to the Beach Bar is perfect for those with young children. Highly recommended.
Great little fish & chip place in City Beach. The outdoor seating area overlooking the beach is beautiful. We had the mango smoothy, which was delicious and fresh! The fish is good, but unfortunately small portions. Would be interested in coming back to the restaurant part of Clancy’s. All in all, a great spot to come in summer, soak up the view and eat some good food!
