the place got character, nice atmosphere, great service, great food
Ye Olde Narrogin Inn blends heritage charm with a relaxed pub atmosphere. The timber‑and‑brick façade evokes colonial nostalgia, while the interior’s warm wood tones and patterned carpet create a cozy dining space. For lunch, I ordered the 200 g rump steak topped with prawns. The meat was unevenly grilled—some bites tender, others chewy—and the prawns, only three for an extra A$7, felt sparse. Still, the creamy sauce and crisp chips made for a satisfying if unremarkable meal. Overall, a solid local spot worth a visit for its history and friendly vibe.
Nice octopus salad, tender and juice. The bufollo chicken is not as spice as expected.
Trivea night first Monday monthly. Food portions huge . Excellent staff we were in the restaurant which then became the game place . Lots of question variety clear precise and fun provided by game master. Shame some of the atmosphere lost by toddlers. Strange event when they cannot even talk and did make it harder to hear each other at our own table. Good for a family and friends get together with a common goal. Win win . There were quick questions with immediate prizes too. Need to book
Unfortunately our visit did not meet our expectations. The atmosphere is fine, if not a little dim and dated, and the service was perfectly adequate. Unfortunately, my meal was sub-par. The burger looked quite messy, and the beef patty was simply bad in a way I've never tasted before. Also, dry cucumber does not compliment a burger very well. The bacon was nice, though. I wouldn't have as much of an issue with this place if the competition wasn't so good.
