Don’t go in with high expectations, or you may leave disappointed. I brought my partner here to celebrate her birthday, and she absolutely loved the atmosphere. The restaurant is beautifully designed, stylish, and has a great ambiance. Unfortunately, the food was a major letdown. I ordered the octopus dish for $44, and my partner had the king prawns for $38. Both portions were very small, and the taste was just average. For the same price, you could enjoy a much better meal at a winery or another quality restaurant. The pricing suggests fine dining, but the food simply didn’t live up to that standard. It wasn’t bad, but it tasted more like a $10 BBQ octopus street food dish than something worth over $40. And they changed $6 each for sparkling water. That said, the staff were lovely, friendly, and provided great service throughout the meal. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend it unless you have money to spare and are going mainly for the atmosphere rather than the food.
Had a delicious lunch here. My husband had been before and i had not. Will definitely return. Great food. Really fresh and tasty and I enjoyed every dish we had. Casual lunch in a small bar/ restaurant. We had: Abrolhos Islands scallop, almond milk, dill oil - this was probably my least favourite. Wadjemup big eye tuna, ajo blanco, pepitas, kombu - the contrast of the pepitas was delicious. Wagin duck parfait, maraschino cherry, onion jam, toast - the maraschino cherry complimented the creamy duck parfait well. Mixed leaf salad, honey & thyme vinaigrette - crunchy, fresh and just the right amount of dressing. Fremantle octopus, tamarind, chipotle duck fat - beautiful char on the occy. We had a couple of glasses of wine and dessert. Attentive service. Little points such as the order the food came in and changing the plates and cutlery after the parfait was what made it 5 stars
Celebrated my partner’s birthday here and loved the food! Favourite dish was the prawns and the ceviche. As well as the anchovies. Food was so well executed, with unique flavours. The atmosphere was cosy and the staff were lovely. We had no more room for dessert but they brought out a little spoon of their coconut dessert and a candle to celebrate. So thoughtful 💕
A very cozy restaurant with amazing food 😻 love the cheese La Buche so much ❤️😋 The seafood was very fresh with excellent flavours to match. The Snapper with cucumber and fennel cream was a star of the night, so tasty. It was a wow for me, very good 👍🏻
Really the best restaurant we have been to on our month’s search for great food, from every town between Margaret River and Exmouth! Exceptional flavours created with the freshest produce and skill from the kitchen. I only wish that I didn’t have dinner booked so that I could have had the tasting menu instead!
