Disappointing upkeep for the premium price tag The Getaway Roleystone has beautiful natural views, but the internal upkeep and attention to detail fell incredibly short of what you expect for a premium price point.When we arrived, the entire place stank strongly of stale smoke—so much so that our clothes still smell of it now that we are home. To make matters worse, we couldn't even use the fireplace to warm up because the property left zero matches to light it with. For a luxury accommodation rate, basic hospitality essentials were completely ignored: there was no tea towel for the dishes, no recycling facilities, and no front door mat, which meant mud easily tracked indoors. Additionally, the bathroom exhaust fan was broken and didn't work at all.It’s a lovely location, but the lack of basic maintenance and missing amenities means it is absolutely not worth the money currently being charged.
