The Swan Valley Hotel

Amazing staff, very friendly. Probably not suitable for seniors due to the amount of steps to get to the apartment. Also having the shower in the spa bath that is quite high to step into. Rooms were adequate but if staying more than a night perhaps having more kitchen appliances would be handy. Nothing to get hot meals out of the oven, some heat/cooking gloves would be really handy. Also a pair of scissors would be amazing, when you shop and come home you have to use a knife to remove labels. May sound mundane but it really would help. It was a peaceful and enjoyable place to stay overall
We recently stayed in the SVH Standard King Room and had a really great experience overall. The hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of Swan Valley and was one of the closest options to a wedding we attended at Bailey Brewing Co — super convenient. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, offering great value for money. We especially appreciated the air conditioning, comfy bed (had such a good sleep!), and the little extras like tea, coffee, milk, free WiFi, hair dryer, and TV. On arrival there were a few functions nearby and a busy lunch crowd at the brewery, so it was a bit lively — but by the time we returned from the wedding, it was quiet and relaxing. There was a little noise from neighbouring rooms in the morning, but nothing that would stop us from booking again. The amenities were a great bonus — including a pool, gym, sauna, and function centre. I also made use of the laundry facilities to iron my dress, which was really handy. The location is a big highlight, with Mash Brewery right next door (highly recommend the soft tacos and beef nachos!) and plenty of nearby spots to explore. We also enjoyed breakfast at Pasta in the Valley the next morning. We’ll definitely be back — and next time we’re keen to check out Supa Golf & Supa Putt too!
Our stay was pleasant enough but I definitely wouldn’t stay again nor recommend it to anyone. I understand accommodation in a prime location like everything is going to cost quite a bit and I’m very happy to pay if it is worth it and I feel this place was not. The room was dirty, smelt musty, cheap nasty body soap, and on a very hot day it would have been nice to have the aircon running in advance so the room was cool when we arrived. Bed was comfortable but pillows were terrible. One bath towel for three days is not enough. Especially when pool towels were not provided either so we had no choice but to use our one bath towel at the pool. Staff were friendly and welcoming.
Would happily stay here again. Staff are amazing, the grounds are beautifully maintained, the room was great, very comfy bed, we even had two different types of pillows each. One high profile, a little firmer, one lower profile pillow, medium firmness. Lovely pool and the location is excellent as well did a bit of a pub crawl and were able to walk back. There is so much to do here.
Very clean and we had a great spot near the pool. Would have loved having a pool towel as wasn’t mentioned when I checked in so thought maybe they would be in the room. I managed to semi dry my towel to use after my shower in the morning. Nice and close to the Brewery for dinner but wouldn’t rate that place. I would definitely stay here again though!
