I had an absolutely wonderful time dining here recently. Everything from the sashimi to the delicate dessert was prepared with such care and attention to detail. The sushi was a real highlight, especially with those perfectly placed orange roe pearls on top. The quality of the fish is genuinely impressive, and the presentation of the entire meal was simply beautiful. I cannot wait to return for another lovely dinner soon.
Marumo was such a great experience ! The seating started at 7pm and went until 9:20pm until the last dessert was served, with food coming out at regular intervals. The service was friendly with the waiters explaining each dish when serving (hence the captions below) and attentive with the free water and tea refills. It was great value at $110 pp for 9 dishes (only 7 listed on the menu but there were 2 other complimentary dishes). My partners and my favourite dish was the salmon sushi! The rice was so soft and sushi was so well made. All of the dishes were yummy but the sushi was just the standout! Needless to say, this restaurant was totally worth the trouble with booking! One thing for future customers to note is that it is a BYO venue so they don’t sell any alcohol (there is an IGA down the road) and the long 2.5 hours serving time means that your shoulders and bum can get quite sore sitting around. Overall, a totally great experience and I can’t wait to bring the rest of my family back here to try! (If we are lucky enough to get another booking - fingers crossed!!!)
One of the best dining experiences of my life. The food was exquisite and the service is excellent, and the down to earth atmosphere makes for a perfect, relaxing setting. The signature sushi is to die for. Getting a booking is a matter of patience and luck, very much worth dealing with. 110pp, worth every cent.
Getting a booking was the hardest part! What an absolute hidden gem and exceptional food. Thankyou to the chef and the team for an amazing experience!! Cant recommend a better experience
