Lavender Bistro delivered an absolutely beautiful high tea experience — easily one of the best in the Swan Valley. The moment we arrived, the setting felt calm, elegant, and wonderfully welcoming. The lavender gardens create such a peaceful atmosphere, and the staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely happy to make the afternoon special. The high tea itself was outstanding. Every item was fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavour. The savoury bites were perfectly balanced, and the sweets were delicate without being overly rich. The scones were a standout — warm, fluffy, and paired perfectly with the plum jam. The tea selection was generous, and each blend complemented the food beautifully. What really made the experience memorable was the attention to detail. Nothing felt rushed, everything arrived at the perfect pace, and the whole afternoon felt relaxing, indulgent, and thoughtfully curated. Lavender Bistro is a gem in the Swan Valley. If you’re looking for a high tea that feels special from start to finish, this is the place. A flawless five‑star experience. Enjoy! Doug D
We came for a family lunch and never having been before thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We tried many lavender items on the menu and loved it all. Thank you we will be coming again.
Mother’s Day at Lavender Bistro was so special! We enjoyed a lovely high tea with family - something we’ve enjoyed here before, and we absolutely loved it! The staff were so friendly and attentive, and keen to ensure we were promptly served and catered to. The high tea treats were served on lovely white tiered plates, each with mouth-watering sweet and savoury delights - mini pumpkin tarts, scones, macarons, sandwiches and more… the portions were very deceiving and might come across as small, but each mouthful was packed with flavour, and we all struggled to eat everything served to us…though we persisted and ended up leaving just a few crumbs by the end of our stay (stomachs full and content!). In keeping with the theme of lavender and ‘purple’, we also drank lavender lemonade, as well as tea and coffee. What I love about this place is the lack of pretentiousness - it’s great food and prices, warm friendly service and flavour flavour flavour!! Oh, and one of the staff (a real Frenchman) served us with the most gorgeous accent….well, let’s just say it was the icing on the cake! Big thanks to the incredible staff for being so consistent with your service offering after all these years. For me, it just keeps getting better each time I go! Thank you 🙏
We enjoyed the serenity of the garden while having high tea on the verandah. The service was absolutely impeccable and our waiter Chris was so welcoming and could not have been more attentive. The high tea was divine, with hot pastries, freshly made club sandwiches , and the bottom tier having petite scones, cream and jam plus a variety of dainty treats that had a hint of lavender and were simply divine. Accompanied by a bottomless pot of tea this was an absolute treat and will definitely be back !
I booked a table for 5, I am glad I booked in advance as there were 2 very large groups inside. As the floor is tiled and the celling is tin, it was very loud and echoey. Staff were friendly and service was quick once our order was taken though it took a while to be served. I definitely recommend booking ahead as it is a very popular spot. The food was average and I would not say it was worth the cost. I wish we had a list of what was in each tier of the high tea, we had to guess (thankfully none of us have any allergies). The bathroom situation was appalling! The doors to the men and women’s toilets were held open so you didn’t know which one to use till you walked in, there was no soap, no hand towels and the hand dryer did not work.
