Highly recommend checking this place out. Great gym, especially for those chasing a cross-fit style routine. Excellent trainers that make you feel very welcome, helpful, and patient in guiding you (especially the new people, like myself) through the course routines. There is even plenty of different times to choose morning and night each day of the week, so makes it hard to find excuses not to go ;)
Club Momentum Joondalup is an amazing gym with great coaches, excellent training programs, and a welcoming community. I've been a member since the very beginning when it was known as S30, and it's been fantastic to see how the gym has evolved. Following the rebrand to Momentum, it has only gotten better. The coaches are knowledgeable, supportive, and genuinely invested in helping members succeed. What I really appreciate is that they're open to feedback and willing to adapt the programming to meet the needs of the community. The workouts are well planned, effective, and suitable for all fitness levels. The sense of community is what truly sets Momentum apart. Everyone is friendly, encouraging, and makes you feel welcome from day one. I highly recommend Momentum to anyone looking for a supportive and results-driven gym. 💪🏻
I had a great experience with S30 (their previous business operating in the same building), which makes this disappointing to write. After the rebrand to Momentum, it felt like a completely different gym — new equipment, a different training structure, and the removal of the large screens that previously guided workouts, replaced by a single mobile phone. This made sessions noticeably more confusing and less structured than before. My previous two-for-one membership offer with S30 was not honoured under Momentum, as it was positioned as a new business. As a result, and as a customer simply looking for value and to experience the new gym, I signed up to the $99 introductory plan. At my first session under the new model, I was called out in front of others regarding this, which was genuinely embarrassing and unexpected. It was not a case of trying to take advantage — it was a genuine misunderstanding based on how the transition had been communicated. I also had a number of uncomfortable interactions with one trainer. On one occasion, I was spoken to quite abruptly when I incorrectly performed a left-leg movement. When I tried to balance it out by completing the same reps on the right side, I was again called out with “what are you doing,” which left me feeling embarrassed. I raised concerns and tried to clarify my membership and payments, however it took around two weeks to receive a proper response. During that time, I didn’t feel comfortable attending while the situation remained unresolved. Despite taking the time to raise these concerns and seek clarity from the owner, my request for a refund was ultimately refused — even though I did not continue using the gym following the incident. In my view, a $99 refund would have been a fair and reasonable outcome in the circumstances. While I appreciate the eventual reply and acknowledgment that things could have been handled better, the overall transition and communication fell well short of expectations.
