Hike through the Swan View Tunnel, past waterfalls and cascades, and along the ridge until you reach awe-inspiring views of the Perth city skyline. Enjoy a guided hike with historical tales, morning tea, and the use of hiking poles. Meet your guide at the car park on the corner of Swan Rd and Morrison Rd in Swan View. After a safety briefing, set off on a 10-kilometer hike through John Forrest National Park. Pass through the Swan View Tunnel, the earliest tunnel in Western Australia's history, which was built in 1895. Learn about the construction of the railway line, a major engineering project managed by C Y O’Connor. Admire the delightfully scenic National Park Falls and views of the Swan Coastal Plain from the Eagle View Lookout. Follow the ridge until you reach awe-inspiring views of the Perth city skyline.   • What to Bring: Backpack with 2-3L of water | Camera | Personal first aid/medications | Hat, sunscreen & insect repellent | Sturdy hiking or walking shoes | Raincoat & warm layer | A sense of adventure & a big smile! Terrain: Total hike distance is 10kms, the terrain is relatively flat and graded as level 3 terrain. There is one rocky ascent but the rest of the terrain is quite flat and even. We recommend sturdy shoes with good grip. The trail is achievable for most people with a reasonable level of fitness but no hiking experience necessary. Accessibility: Suitable for people living with a cognitive disability/autism, and low hearing. May also be suitable for some people with low vision or other disabilities; please contact us to discuss your ability and we will do our best to adapt our experience so you can join in the adventure!
