A chill space for icecream - the vanilla soft serve is particularly good - and a coffee (iced long black was very good).
Pelican Kiosk at Rottnest Island has a really lovely, chilled vibe. The location is airy, relaxed, and not as noisy as some of the other spots nearby, which makes it a nice place to sit and unwind. That said, the service was probably the slowest I’ve ever experienced. On the day I visited, there seemed to be only one staff member handling everything — cashier, drinks, and barista — which led to a very long queue and a significant wait time. Some people even left to try other cafés nearby. It’s a shame, because the drinks themselves were actually very good — in my opinion, better than the ones at the neighbouring coffee shop. The pricing and quality are reasonable too, so the potential is definitely there. Overall, I think this place could be much better with improved staffing and service flow. The atmosphere and product are solid, but the slow service really took away from the experience.
Nice big terrace with lots of sun in the morning, good coffee, friendly staff, happy to come back
There are no gluten free options at all, and choices were limited and not very inspiring. There are big trees providing dappled shade and nice seating choices. They had the potential for seating with views toward the park, playground area, the main hub and even a glimpse of ocean. Instead, they put the bins and bike racks across that perspective and have a view of the museum's white back wall.
