Wonderful staff. We have come here twice now for the timed all you can eat sushi train which is such great value for money and much easier than tracking your plates. Being able to order hot food that comes to your personal table by the train is so cool and always quick. We never need the full 90 minutes and leave extremely satisfied by our meals.
The most delicious dishes are beef, deep fried oyster which got the second star of the food, there’s no sashimi on the menu or sushi train at all. Dessert is only marshmallow, small chocolate cupcake, no cheesecake, no drinks or green tea included in the all you can eat. Not worth for coming down. it’s a good idea to combine Chinese, sushi & hot food for locals to take away, but other than this, I won’t go all the way to Armadale from north of River to have this all you can eat.
3.5 🌟 for the food (for the buffet sushi, the front of the restaurant sushi is 4 stars 🌟). 4.5 🌟 for the service. 3.5 🌟 for the atmosphere. $28 dollars for an all you can eat sushi buffet (including a selection of to order food) for 90 minutes. You pay first (depending on the time and day you may need to wait in line, but I didn't have to), then at your table you can order from the iPad, hot dishes like chicken wings, sate chicken and Osaka chicken, which come in a small side dish sized bowl. On the iPad menu there's also a few noodle and rice dishes available aswell as squid salad and seaweed salad. You can order drinks on the iPad which cost 3 to 5 dollars as they're not included in the all you can eat price. When you order the drinks, they will bring them to your table and you'll pay with the hand held card machine. The rest of the food ordered via the ipad will arrive by the little train, which is a little high up to grab while sitting down if you're short. The sushi on the sushi train conveyor belt is the available sushi and you can not order sushi on the iPad. There's a small selection of sweets, like sesame balls, little cupcakes, sugared nuts, and what looks like rice crispy cake but I'm told tastes more like sweet noodles and it melts in your mouth. The dessert selection is limited in comparison to the savory although that's to be expected for the price. The restaurant was well lit and clean. The price is good especially if you plan on eating lots and getting your money's worth. The sushi is nice although not as nice as the sushi at the front. It is a little messier compared to the sushi rolls they sell at the front of the store, as they fall apart easier but the flavor is good for the price. Plus the variety of rolls might not match the front of the store if that's what you're expecting. The omelet is especially nice and found along the sushi belt. If you don't want to dine in you can buy food for takeaway at the front of the restaurant. They have a selection of handheld sushi rolls, squid salad, seafood salad and sashimi style sushi packs. The seafood salad with imitation crab in mayonnaise, with prawns, avocado, and iceberg lettuce in particular is nice. I'd say the sushi at the front is on average a 4.2 stars 🌟. Also available is the self serve hot food ranging from about 13 to 16.50 dollars, (if I remember correctly), then they have hot fried snack foods like chicken skewers ect, and to go meal deals for $7 which include rice or noodles and a protein and side dish (spring rolls or dumplings) which are pretty good value. The hot food I've tried at the front was pretty good, the Osaka chicken and omelet in particular. While the fried rice was toned down to a mild flavor to appease the a wider range of customer palates. It's generally good food and tastes nice (though toned down to appease a wider range of palates) and service is quick, friendly and polite. Overall it's worth a visit and I enjoyed the food and the staff were friendly.
Went to try the sushi train. It was a Saturday at 11:30. We were told to come back in an hour as they had to make more food. I could see people sitting at tables but not a single plate on the train. We were then told to come back on a week day. We went about our shopping and returned an hour later to find the door to the sushi train area was closed and there was a sign saying no food. Can't tell you what the food was like because we never got to try it. Update. Came back on the Wednesday, still very busy but this time they were prepared. The sushi wasn't made fresh, is was pre made in plastic tubs and loaded on to plates. $28 for all you can eat sushi train which includes hot food ordered off a tablet and delived to your table by a robot. Over all it is an enjoyable experience. Worth the money
Great to see the place reopened! As a SUSHI TRAIN!?!?? Food is as good as always, if not even better. I always loved their honey chicken as they never over-battered their chicken, and the quality has stayed that way. Look forward the the sushi train opening up very soon! Would recommend to all friends and family.
