I attended as part of a private function. The bar tender could serve drinks but wasn't very well acquainted with what he had to serve. I'm not sure which winery the wines came from but they weren't very good and the bar tender didn't know his dry from his sweet wines or generally much about wine at all. The food arrived late and our group basically had to notice it's arrival as it wasn't highlighted or even served around except by us. There was a lovely beetroot dip and some splendid sandwiches but also a lot of fried food. Please note that this place is more a tavern than a hotel to stay at from what I saw.
My mother and I had an amazing birthday (joint 60th/21st) in the function room. Every single staff member we dealt with (James, Nick, Meg, Cory and Justin) was so kind and accommodating before, during and after the party. The catered food was delicious (10/10 calamari). Couldn’t recommend the Greenwood for a function more!
Took my family out for a beautiful celebratory lunch. Eli our waiter was fantastic! Young, vibrant and enthusiastic. We enjoyed the great food, even better service and will definitely be back - 10/10!
Went there today for a meal for my sons 21st bday. Honestly the food was 100% on point. Was pleasantly surprised cos my last visit bout 8 years ago the food was utter shite. Keep up the good word. Kudos to the Chef.
Popped into the Greenwood today for lunch as I haven’t been here for years. Trying to be healthier and went for the pumpkin salad and was NOT disappointed at all. The serving was huge, the combination of sun dried tomatoes, pine nuts, parmesan, spinach and sauce was absolutely delicious. I couldn’t stop shovelling it into my face and wanted more at the end. Next time I would add some chicken to make it better….if that’s at all possible. Wow. Definitely coming back to try the Caesar salad now too. Heaps of parking great atmosphere and great food. What more could you want. Bravo to the hard working kitchen staff. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
