Henrietta Rocks offers a perfect blend of rugged coastal beauty and accessible adventure. The highlight here is the "Shark" wreck, a hopper barge that sank in 1938. It’s located only about 50 meters offshore in relatively shallow water. On a clear day, you can even see it from the shore! Snorkeling around it is surreal—it's encrusted in coral and teeming with vibrant fish, making it feel like your own private underwater museum. Before you head down the stairs to the beach, stop at the lookout. You'll get a panoramic, postcard-perfect view of Porpoise Bay and the turquoise waters transition into deep sapphire. Compared to the more famous spots on the island, Henrietta Rocks feels a bit more secluded and "local." The white sandy beach is tucked between limestone cliffs, providing a cozy spot to dry off and enjoy a picnic. Whether you're a history buff, a snorkeling enthusiast, or just looking for a quiet corner of paradise to soak in the WA sun, Henrietta Rocks delivers every time.

A stunning place on Rottnest. From the resort town it is only a 25-30 min walk. Beautiful walk by the way. When you get to Henrietta Rocks be prepared to be blown away. What i found very cool, in the first Pic, in the upper left hand corner, you can see the skyline of Perth.

This beautiful beach is the 1st stop of my cycling trip at Rottnest island. The water was great and I badly wanted to go for a swim. But I didn't go for a swim because I had only one day at Rottnest and so I wanted to explore the whole island.
