Reviews
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Guildford river retreat! They are fully self sufficient beautiful gardens and even have chickens 😍 Equipped with a sauna and pool! Very private accomdation exceptional place
We booked here as the reviews were very positive. I've got to say I felt pretty let down by the service we received - it's described as a bed and breakfast and for the price we paid for one night ($240) I think it's reasonable to expect breakfast as an inclusion. However please be aware they do not serve breakfast (apparently haven't since Covid?) so I really don't feel the price was appropriate, and the description is misleading (see attached photo). The room was nice but basic. We didn't access any other amenities as truthfully, I'm not sure where they were. Parking was difficult and we ended up parking on a verge on the street. To top it off, there are significant renovations underway to the front of the building so the reception area is inaccessible from the front and poorly signed. There was no communication around this prior to arrival, and I had to knock on a random door to be taken around the rear of the property to get to reception. This could have easily been communicated via email prior to my arrival for a smoother check in process and overall experience.
